About

Salt and Pep! is a small operation started by me, Marisa. It began in the Summer of 2019, when I started bringing a few flowers from the garden in for the Chef at the restaurant where I was employed. If you've ever met me, you know that 1) I love food, drink, and hospitality, 2) I'm a plant and nature geek, and 3) when I get into something, I REALLY get into it. And so, a little business was eventually born.

Lots of trial and error happened over the rest of that summer, and I headed into the 2020 gardening season with high hopes... then all the restaurants closed. The pandemic has certainly been a blessing and a curse; I've been thankful to have the time to spend incorporating the business and discovering so many other venues for providing edible flowers around the Twin Cities. (There are SO many amazing independent bakers out there!)

So here I am, figuring out how to do the social media thing, making a website, yelling at my computer... Really, I just want to be in the garden watching the bees and playing in the dirt. Technology might not be my thing, but I do shine when it comes to hospitality and the restaurant industry. Chefs, bartenders, bakers: I would love to work with you to make your guests' experience brighter and more flavorful.
